Description Accountemps is looking for a candidate to support a department as an Accounting Clerk.

This role is with a company in the Financial Services industry.

The Accounting Clerk position seeks an experienced candidate in the following tasks: matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R).

This is a short-term temporary employment opportunity based in the Beaverton, Oregon area.Key responsibilities
– Put together statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources
– Assist Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing
– Reconcile discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
– Contribute to Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance
– Post financial information to journals and ledgers
– Organize documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
– Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects Requirements
– Excellent data entry skills
– 1+ years of relevant experience
– Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is a plus
– Knowledge of general ledger
– Strong familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)
– Background working with journal entries
– General familiarity with Coding Invoices
– Demonstrated knowledge of Code Invoices
– Microsoft Great Plains Accounting experience
– Great Plains (GPAC) experience
