Manager Financial Forecasting and Economic Analysis

To achieve this vision, the Manager of Financial Forecasting and Economic Analysis plays a critical role providing financial guidance, business insights, analytic evaluation of customer offerings and long-term financial planning.

In this role, you will lead a six-person team of dedicated professionals, which is responsible for the corporate financial forecast, load forecasting and economic analysis functions within Financial Planning & Analysis.

The Financial Forecasting Manager is accountable for the performance and results of a team, develops departmental plans and priorities, develops talent within the team and builds financial acumen across the company.

This role has high visibility and provides financial consulting and analytical support of company strategic initiatives and regulatory filings.

What you will get to work on: * Lead the development and consolidation of the current year and long-term financial forecast which is used to drive operating and regulatory decisions and prepare quarterly Board of Directors materials * Monitor, analyze and present financial and operating results, forecast updates and sensitivities to the CEO, CFO and officer team * Prepare and review economic modeling of investments, customer products and programs; economic modeling may include revenue requirement analysis, cost effectiveness or cash flow analysis * Provide information necessary to achieve corporate objectives and strategies, ensuring support provided is high quality, accurate and timely in accordance with client needs and corporate governance requirements.

* Manage the corporate load forecast which is used for budgeting, planning and regulatory purposes; evaluate and review models, recommend and support development of new methodologies as needed.

* Collaborate in cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional customer products and solutions * Develop and review ad hoc and routine economic analyses to support decision-making and regulatory proceedings * Manage, develop, coach, and lead a team of high performing FP&A team members You will be someone with: * Strong business acumen and financial modeling skills-understanding of regulated utility business model (e.g., revenue requirement, cost of service regulation, and utility accounting concepts like AFDC) a plus * Excellent management of people, including management of hybrid (in office/remote) teams, human relations, conflict resolution, communication, consulting, presentation and persuasion skills * Working knowledge of PGE’s regulatory price setting mechanisms and how they impact financial and operational planning * Thorough knowledge of accounting, finance and financial analysis principles * Advanced decision-making skills * Advanced organization and prioritization skills * Senior Leader Practices: Drives Vision and Purpose, Business Insight, Strategic Mindset, Develops Talent, Manages Ambiguity Qualifications: * This position requires a bachelor’s degree and eight years’ experience in Business, Economics, Finance or another business-related or equivalent experience.

Preferred: * Experience with Power Plan, Tableau, Excel and utility industry preferred.
