This is a Full-time position in Portland, OR posted August 18, 2021.

Position Close Date: 8/29/21***Applicants must upload a resume and cover letter to their application in order to be considered for this opportunity.***Position Summary: The Finance & Contract Associate is responsible for compiling, analyzing and preparing data, and reporting of trends and developments to inform important decisions to the organization.

The Finance & Contract Associate performs these duties with precision and in a manner that is professional and helpful.

Works closely with Finance and Contracts Manager to synthesize complex financial information for presentation in a clear, concise manner.Compensation: $46,176 $53,883/year (Depends on Experience and/or Certifications).

Generous paid time off plan includes 15 days in the first year, 23 days in the second year, and 26 days in the third year.Education, Training and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other relevant major required, or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.Four years of experience performing complex financial analysis, accounting, and/or project analysis.Experience in financial modeling, pricing analysis, margin analysis, break-even analysis, and ratio analysis.Experience in research and analysis of rules and regulations and trends pertaining to health care and government benefits preferred.Advanced proficiency in development and use of Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations.Experience working in nonprofit environment preferred.Work experience with a wide variety of office applications including accounting software preferred.Competencies:Strong problem solving and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret complex data and transfer the data into meaningful financial information for use in decision making.Ability to maintain ethical conduct, confidentiality and meet strict reporting deadlines.Requires advanced Excel spreadsheet skills including use of pivot tables, V-lookups, IF conditional statements etc.Ability to convert large volume of data into summarized presentations that are understandable and useful for end-users.Proficient communication skills.

Ability to present ideas and conclusions in terms understood by a wide audience.Customer service orientation and mission focused.Ability to function and communicate effectively within a cross-functional team environment.Other Eligibility:Must be able to pass a criminal background check.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Serve as primary contact for multiple project staff; provide financial analysis, management support and guidance.Draft contract documents, analyze terms and conditions of contracts, draft modifications to contracts.

and maintenance of the contract files.Assist in preparing and monitoring annual forecasts and budgets for the organization.Complete and submit monthly financial reports which include key performance indicators, financial results, and variance reporting.Identify trends in financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement.Provide professional finance support for programs or internal functional activities, including staff trainings.Assist program leadership teams to review and respond to contract and funder requests, including new agreements and grant contracts.Serve as primary contact for multiple project staff; provide financial analysis, management support and guidance.Submit contractual information to funders as required.Assist the Finance and Contracts Manager with primary funder requirements and other tasks as needed.Assist with annual audits.Communicate regularly with program directors and provide guidance for short and long-term financial management and sustainability of programs.Support projects funding proposals: assist with budgets, review proposals, provide supporting documents.Ensure complete documentation of funding awards.Work with program directors to comply with funder’s terms and conditions, manage deliverables, monitor spending, request amendments, and plan spend-out.Schedule: This is a full-time position, Monday – Friday.Work Environment: This position typically works in an office environment.

Due to COVID-19, this position is currently working remote, with the possibility of returning to the office environment, full-time, or alternating office and remote work.
