Job DescriptionNeed for Forklift Operator in Clackamas, OR. Airstream Adventures in Clackamas, OR has an immediate opening for a reliable, full-time Forklift Operator. This is a perfect opportunity for someone to start a career at a well-established company and be able to gain experience in the dealership industry. Safety is of the utmost importance in this role. You will be responsible for moving travel trailers around the dealership premises both for newly purchased trailers and Guest trailers in need of repair. This can include maneuvering within some tight spaces. The Forklift Operator is responsible for using a forklift to tow trailers to where they need to be on the lot, in and out of detail, move units in and out of the shop for Technicians, assisting Guest with hitch up and drop off. If you demonstrate that you’re a dedicated worker, the opportunities for growth are limitless.Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities Move trailers inside and outside of Technician bays to help achieve production standards.Work respectfully and cooperatively with all Team Members and Guests.Move trailers from intake to storage area.All duties to be performed with Safety as the number one priority. Arrange trailers on lot to manager specifications.Maintain our dealership’s standard of excellence in quality and service.Inspect trailers thoroughly.May assist in cleaning and detailing units inside and out. Inspect new units from the factory.Maintain the proper function of all tools and equipment with use of daily log sheet.Specific Job Requirements Ensuring the safety of our Team Members, Guests, facility, and the units.Excellent communication skills.Strong safety record.Must become Forklift Certified with Airstream.May be required to become tow certified. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy.Organized and detail oriented.Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance. Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.Respectfully takes direction from Manager.Enforce and practice policies to establish a culture of health and safety.Communication skills via walkie-talkie. Education and Experience Requirements High School Diploma or GED, preferred.Experience driving a forklift, preferred. Valid driver’s license with a clean, insurable driving record.Must be able to work a Tuesday Saturday schedule. Must be able to utilize tools appropriate to skill level. Requires the ability to move around and maneuver products when necessary.Must be able to ascend and descend steps, ladders and/or scaffolding if required.Walking and Standing Requires moving around throughout the workday.Must be able to easily move inside, outside and under units.May need to move under or on top of a unit for cleaning.Must be able to regularly lift and carry items weighing 25lbs.Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds.Must be able to move in and out of a forklift throughout the workday with ease.Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.While performing the duties of this job, the team member is exposed to wet or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles; outdoor weather conditions.
