Senior UX Designer

This is a Full-time position in Portland, OR posted May 8, 2021.

The UX Designer will contribute to a variety of new products and new business initiatives. The UIUX designer plays a key role in defining and guiding the strategy and development of new products, and applying best practices for navigation, organization, interaction design, and businessuser process engineering for leading-edge digital solutions. Must have a UX portfolio – With examples of your designs, product interface and application architecture. EXPERIENCE 5+ years of product design experience working on new product conception and integration. Hands-on drive rapid prototyping using a variety of mediatoolstechnologies that accelerate learning and best achieve the goals set by the team. Create UX assets for web and digital properties in a true agile product environment. Excellent knowledge of web architectural and design patterns. Solid working knowledge of current technologies including modern web frameworks, object-oriented analysis and design practices (object modeling, use cases, activity diagrams, and UML). Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, stories and models. Contribute to the planning and development of marketing communications assets for internal and external use Qualifications Bachelors or Master s degree in a relevant design discipline. Strong portfolio and demonstrable success working on real world design problems. Expertise with design, information architecture, and prototyping tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Balsamiq, Axure RP, MockFlow, InVision, or similar tools) Experience in Agile, Design Thinking, Lean UX or Lean Start-up methods is a plus. Familiarity with Mobile, JavaScript, CSS, Rails, AWSCloud technologies. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Experience using a variety usability methods for both remote and in-person research, including card sorting, heuristic evaluation, cognitive walkthroughs, participatory design co-creation workshops. Ability to manage a research project from end-to-end including eliciting stakeholder goals, study design, screener development test moderation, data analysis and reporting. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills Ability to support multiple simultaneous projects and product teams. Modify existing user experience to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, code or systems or to improve performance. Consult with internal and external customers about project design, process and needs. Determine performance standards and work with project managers to select milestones for phasing. Confer with various groups to design project and to obtain information on needs, limitations and capabilities, related projects, performance requirements and interfaces. Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and strategy constraints. Store, retrieve, document and manipulate code and data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements, storage and release. Develop and communicate information for quality assurance testing and validation procedures. Work collaboratively with Engineering and Marketing teams for project understanding for testing. Coordinate with other developers on related projects to ensure complementary function and development. Maintain positive teamwork and communication in fast paced, changing environment. Other projects, collaboration with other departments and stakeholders and responsibilities as assigned. EDUCATION Bachelorrsquos degree or equivalent experience required.
