Dhunki Movie Download Storyline:
After a five-year hiatus, Shahrukh Khan has made a spectacular comeback with two blockbuster movies in 2023. Adding to the list is another outstanding film, “Donkey,” directed by the renowned Rajkumar Hirani. Known for his impactful storytelling on social issues, Hirani weaves an engaging narrative in this latest release.
The story unfolds in 1995 Punjab, focusing on the lives of three friends in the village of Laltu: Mano Randhawa, Bogo Lakhanpal, and Balli Kakad. Struggling with poverty, the trio aspires to earn money in England. However, lacking education becomes a hurdle in obtaining visas, as only English speakers are allowed entry. They turn to a visa agent who promises to arrange visas through fraudulent means. Entrusting a significant sum of money, they soon discover the agent’s deceit.
To fulfill their dreams, the friends seek out a wrestling coach named Hardayal. Hardy, grateful for Manu’s brother Mahendra saving his life, agrees to teach them wrestling. In return, he asks them to pass an English-speaking test known as ICE to secure student visas for England. Despite their efforts, the friends struggle to learn English, leading Hardy to devise a shortcut.
In a twist of fate, Bally manages to pass the exam, obtaining a student visa. However, upon reaching London, he learns of his girlfriend’s tragic suicide due to his exam failure. Devastated, he stays in London illegally, earning a living through odd jobs.
To help his friends, Hardy proposes an illegal route to England called “Donkey,” involving perilous travel without visas. Collecting funds from the village, the group embarks on a dangerous journey. Along the way, they face challenges, including the loss of three companions at the Iranian border.
Upon reaching London, they reunite with Bally, who informs them of his visa’s futility. The friends live clandestinely, facing constant police scrutiny and frequent relocations. Hardy contemplates returning to India, but his love for Mannu persuades him to stay. Seeking legal status, Hardy consults an immigration lawyer, leading to a plan involving a fake marriage for Mannu.
During the marriage, a scuffle with the groom lands them all in police custody, closing the citizenship path. To avoid deportation, they claim asylum, allowing Mannu and Bally to stay in England. Hardy, unwilling to lie against his country, is sent back to India.
As Mannu and his friends settle in England, they work menial jobs to support their families in India. Hardy, unable to forget Mannu, remains in Laltu, waiting for her. Despite living apart, their love endures. Twenty-five years pass, during which Mannu, now critically ill, decides to return to India to spend her final days.
Unable to secure a visa, Mannu calls Hardy in Dubai and reveals her plan. Hardy, along with Bally, joins Mannu in Dubai. Aware of Mannu’s illness, Hardy devises a plan to bring them back to India through the assistance of a dubious agent.
Pretending to be undercover agents heading to London, they deliberately get caught by the Dubai Police. The police, believing their cover story, send them back to India by flight. They return to Punjab, where Mannu, Bally, and Hardy reunite with their families.
Tragically, Mannu succumbs to her brain tumor before she and Hardy can marry. Left as a bachelor, Hardy, along with his friends, decides to start a new business in Laltu. Their focus shifts to preventing fake visa operations and donkey agents, ensuring others don’t face the hardships they endured. This marks the poignant conclusion of the movie “Donkey.”
