Journeyman Electrician

This is a Contract position in Oregon City, OR posted February 2, 2021.

Journeyman Electrician – Clackamas County, OR – Direct-hire – (non-union) Hourly rate is negotiable

Duties:

  • Working knowledge of National, State, Local electrical and building codes (NEC, NFPA, OESC), OSHA, and standard industry safety rules/regulations
  • Preventive and Predictive Maintenance
  • Lockout/Tagout procedures for all types of equipment
  • Troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of building and machine electrical systems
  • Troubleshooting and replacement electrical systems with the ability to take voltage, amperage, OHM, or others per ladder and schematic diagrams and determine values.
  • Diagnose, program, repair, or replace PLC systems and controls
  • Electrical/electronic: controls, magnetic starters, rotary switches, relays, solenoids, brakes, input/output devices for PLCs, CNC, and standard electrical wiring principles for AC (up to 480v. three-phase) and DC systems as well as all associated building and interconnect electrical
  • Safely work with Multiphase electrical systems up to 480VAC
  • Troubleshoot and resolve the building electrical, control networks, instrumentation, PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, and control problems.
  • Troubleshooting, replace, and work on AC and DC Servo drives
  • Troubleshooting and working on CNC controls w/ hard-drives and flash memory
  • Maintain and document all work performed in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
  • Assist with infrastructure maintenance: HVAC, Compressors, VAC Pumps, Electrical, Building Access, etc.
  • Capital equipment installs
  • Ability to be certified to operate forklifts, scissors lift, overhead cranes, and hoists
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics, and P&IDs
  • Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Registered Oregon Journeyman Electrician (Registered Supervisory Journeyman Electrician is a plus)
  • 5 years of experience working as a journeyman electrician
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule as needed
  • Be available on call 24/7 to respond to emergencies of the physical plant (rotational on-call)
