– $54,225nn nn All Applicant submissions must be received through the link provided below nn nn nn Summary nn nnWith oversight from the Human Resources Director, the HRBP-Generalist independently performs and carries out a variety of duties ranging in complexity across varied domains.nn nnThis position requires a significant depth of comprehension and proficiency in Human Resources functions; with the goal of obtaining subject matter expertise in the following areas; including, but not limited to employment law, recruiting, benefits, training, performance management, HRIS operations, and Federal and State Leave guidelines including workers comp, FMLA, and OFLA.

Other duties will include supporting the administration of the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources.nn nnThe Human Resources Generalist contributes to the accomplishment of Human Resources strategic objectives and fulfilment of County policy and practice.

The HRBP-Generalist is expected to contribute to and support an employee-oriented, service and development focused culture that emphasizes quality and productivity though the recruitment, training, and ongoing development of a highly-skilled workforce.

The HRBP-Generalist helps with the implementation of services, policies, programs, and best practices through providing assistance to all County employees including managers and department heads.

Performs all duties as assigned.nn nn Essential Functions nn Adheres to all Federal and State employment laws ensuring that personnel, recruiting, discipline, and termination processes are compliant with all guidelines.

Actively contributes to recruiting campaigns seeking candidates for all organizational levels; may manage full cycle for varied positions.

Performs research on positions and updates/develops accurate and compliant job descriptions.

Assists/performs interviews, ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically audits Forms I-9, and conducts new hire onboarding.

Provides employees with exceptional customer service regarding their benefits including health insurance, life insurance, and retirement.

Reviews benefits with employees and processes enrollment, cancellation, or changes.

Organizes annual open enrollment communications and election process.

Maintain employee information by entering and updating employee information in HRIS; conducts research and prepares a variety of statistical and administrative reports Manages and processes all Unemployment Claim Notices.

Assists employees with workers comp related services, FMLA, and OFLA.

Assists county employees with claim issues, long-term disability, and all other leave categories.

Works directly with department heads to ensure the annual review process is performed efficiently and on time.

Participates in the development/update of all review collateral.

Coordinates step increases with payroll and maintains employee file safeguarding the process and confirming all documentation regarding performance is up to date and accurate.

Collaborates with the Director of HR and team members in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; assists in preparation and maintenance of the employee handbook and the policies and procedures manual.

Supports the accurate implementation and management of the countys current compensation study including maintaining the use of approved appropriate grades, steps, and titles.

Participates in the following programs: wellness and benefits, training and development, recruiting, records management, safety and risk management, succession planning, employee relations and retention, ADA/EEO compliance, varied policy and processes.

Completes special projects as needed.

nn Supervisory Responsibility nn nnThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.nn nn Work Environment nn nnThis is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing, lifting, and carrying may be required.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

nn nn Position Type and Expected Hours of Work nn nnThis is a temporary full-time position with the potential to grow into a permanent full-time position.

Days and hours of work are flexible.

Additional hours may be required for special assignments.

nn nn Travel nn nnOccasional travel around for errands or admin assignments may be expected.

nn nn Required Education and Experience nn B.S.

in Human Resources or related field 4 years continuous Human Resources experience.

The Ability to obtain SHRM certification within 18 months.

Or, High School diploma / GED and seven continuous years of human resources experience.

The Ability to obtain SHRM certification within 18 months.

Able to complete a thorough employment and/or criminal history check.

Final candidates will be required to provide official proof of college degree and certified transcripts (not required for all positions).
