In 1974, Alvord-Taylor was incorporated as a non-profit organization in Eugene, Oregon, with a vision of providing a “Vibrant and unified community for all.” We now operate sixteen homes where we provide 24-hour care to individuals, in addition to our supported living program, which assists clients in being as independent as possible. Position Summary The Human Resources Recruitment Specialist is primarily responsible for performing all aspects of recruitment and staffing for the company and provides guidance to other members of Human Resources and Alvord Taylor departments on recruitment strategies and initiatives. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Recruitment Specialist must be prepared to work independently and as part of a team in areas of recruiting and human resources. Essential Functions * Solicit resumes from qualified candidates; determine suitability by conducting initial screening interviews via phone, Zoom and/or in person; * Coordinate and attend career fairs at universities and community colleges in Oregon; * Make hiring recommendations based upon the eligibility criteria provided. Identify passive and active candidates by leveraging a variety of recruitment resources such as job boards, social media, resume databases, job fairs and referrals. Regularly work with various Alvord-Taylor departments and external community groups and organizations to promote and support Alvord Taylor’s overall recruitment efforts. * Increase Alvord-Taylor’s profile to reach a broader and wider market of candidates; finding new, innovating and creative ways to make Alvord-Taylor an appealing and desirable company to work for. * Maintain recruitment collateral inventory and facilitate the distribution of promotional materials, including flyers, brochures, and other recruitment materials. * Work with the Human Resources Manager to ensure that Alvord-Taylor conforms to government and regulatory hiring and staff management practices; * Handle some administrative duties related to hiring. * Work with other HR staff to onboard qualified candidates based on departmental business needs and requests. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications * A bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; or experience equivalent with non -related degree * 2+ years of experience and proven track record of success, having had responsibility for recruiting, screening, interviewing and hiring for multiple positions concurrently; * Knowledge and experience working with an equal opportunity employer and well versed in the acceptable practices of interviewing and recruiting in a non-discriminatory environment; * Excellent computer literacy and application skills in desktop computing including, MS Office applications and other commonly used office productivity tools such as Adobe and Google. * Knowledge of on-line, electronic job application systems and processes; * Knowledge of recruitment advertising and marketing techniques and best practices; * Effective speaking and writing skills and the ability to address small and large groups; * Skilled at researching, investigating and garnering information from internet site resources. * Must obtain and maintain, with agency assistance, certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Oregon Intervention Systems (OIS). * Must pass a Criminal Records Background Check performed by the Department of Human Services.
