He revealed, “We are in the early stages of preparing for ‘Khakee 2.’ The script is currently under development, and we’re aiming to commence shooting next year. Coincidentally, next year marks the 20th anniversary of the original ‘Khaki,’ making it an ideal time to kickstart our project. The script for ‘Khakee2‘ is a completely fresh creation, tailored to the sensibilities of contemporary audiences. However, it will maintain a strong connection to the original film, offering fans a sense of nostalgia and continuity.”
Aryaman Ramsay also addressed the casting choices for “Khakee 2.” He expressed his family’s closeness to Akshay Kumar but clarified, “Unfortunately, Akshay Kumar‘s character met his end in the first installment, which precludes his return in the sequel. The same fate befell Ajay Devgan and Aishwarya Rai’s characters. As a result, we have the privilege of entrusting the legacy to the incomparable Amitabh Bachchan. We are excited to see him take the narrative forward.”
