Logistics Coordinator

is seeking a Logistics Coordinator for our world headquarters located in Portland, Oregon.

Manages processes encompassing the flow of inventory and information to support packaging, shipping, and logistic operations.

Creates schedules for what needs to be processed, when it needs to be processed, and how it is to be processed to ensure successful operation of logistics departments.

Reviews and manages ERP setup for process efficiency and inventory health.

The ideal candidate must be able to:
Release and assign work to teams based on available labor hours and product availability to ensure on-time shipment of orders.

Coordinate with other departments, customer and/or carriers to share and receive information needed to support operations.

Maintain and audit inventory accuracy through distribution processes including returns.

Manage ERP data to include label formats, item maintenance and setup, inventory life cycle, warehouse setup, customer notes.

Create and maintain work instructions, standard work, safety documentation, and department playbooks.

Gather data for department KPIs from multiple information systems to create reports using Microsoft Office, Atlas, and Microsoft Dynamics AX.

Responsible for opening and closing business doors including disarming and rearming the logistics building.

Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment and troubleshooting of equipment issues including coordination with maintenance.

Understand and perform all aspects of packaging, laser engraving, and shipping processes.

Operate powered industrial equipment.

Participate in continuous improvement projects to improve productivity, efficiency, and increase capacity.

Experience & Education Requirements:
Associates Degree in Business or Supply Management preferred, or equivalent experience preferred.

Minimum five years logistics experience in a manufacturing environment using ERP systems required.

APICS certification or coursework preferred.

Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.

Ability to read, comprehend and write English at a level to effectively utilize and interpret work instructions and customer manuals.

Ability to effectively utilize basic math and intermediate computer skills using ERP systems and Microsoft Office with Advanced Excel proficiency preferred.

Must have strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Two Shifts:

Monday – Friday 6AM – 2:30PM

Friday – Monday 6:30AM – 5:30PM

Positions are hourly, no-exempt opportunities. Additional days/hours to support business needs required.

Physical Demands, Working Conditions/Physical Hazards: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continually required to stand; walk; balance; use hands to finger, handle, grasp, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms, some overhead.

The employee may be required to sit; push/pull; climb; twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.

The employee may occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
