Operator II, Manufacturing – Second shift

**Job Description:**This is a position within the Finished Good Manufacturing department.

Responsibilities include formulating, filling, and labelling ThermoFisher Scientific life science products following the appropriate documentation.

This job entails working in a laboratory setting while completing routine work, with occasional variations from the norm, involving a moderate degree of complexity.

Accuracy is required in performing all functions of this position.**Essential Functions**+ Works safely with chemicals and hazardous materials+ Comply with all company safety regulations and procedures+ Operates various filling and formulations equipment and machinery+ Complete production and quality analysis of reagents, components and finished products in accordance with SOPs, Work Instructions, and the Production Schedule.+ Effectively communicate and interface with peers to ensure the completion of tasks+ Works alone or with peers to perform formulating, filling, and/or labeling of products and various departmental projects+ Comprehends and fills out production paperwork such as: Product Reconciliation, Label Reconciliation, Labor Sheets, Product Fill Checks, Torque Checks, Batch Records, etc.+ Comply with company quality standards and ISO 13485 guidelines+ Utilizes 5s methodology by keeping a clean and sanitary work area, cleans and sanitizes machinery, glassware or equipment as required+ Works in fast-paced environment with changing priorities+ Work in a laboratory setting and clean room environment while adhering to room specific PPE requirements+ Ability to work overtime+ Other duties as assigned**Minimum Qualifications:**+ Requires a High School Diploma+ Requires 1
– 2 years of experience in a Manufacturing Environment+ Demonstrated Ability to Carry Out Written Basic Production Instructions Required+ Good Problem-Solving Skills Necessary+ Basic computer skills necessary; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite preferred+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; reach; stoop; kneel; crouch; and sit for extended periods of time+ Important to have finger and hand dexterity, and the ability to differentiate between colors+ Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds+ Ability to work in an environment of moderate noise level+ Demonstrated proficiency in the use of basic packaging techniques, equipment and protocol record retention**Preferred Qualifications:**+ 1-2 years of experience in a life science/biotechnology discipline preferred+ BS (or AS + relevant experience) in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or other related life science discipline preferred+ Experience with collecting optical density measurements and precise formulation of bulk reagents+ Experience with filling, capping and labeling using precision liquid handling tools and processes+ Experience in manufacturing diagnostic products for research and regulated markets+ Experience in completing documentation using GDP (Good Documentation Practices)Thermo Fisher Scientific is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
