Position SummaryCompass Oncology – the Pacific Northwest’s largest privately-owned oncology practice – is looking for an experienced CT Technologist to join our team.

As part of the collaborative medical team at Compass, the CT Technologist will assist in the preparation of the patient and equipment, as well as assisting in the compliance of all safety regulations.

Employment Type: Full Time, 0.8FTE (32hr/week) Benefits: M/D/V, Life Ins., 401(k) Location: Mobile CT – Washington and Oregon sites JOB SCOPE: Responsible for the administration of all CT exams including; diagnostic CT, radiation simulations with cross training into PET/CT.

Ensures technical quality and timely reporting of results.

Assures compliance with appropriate regulatory agencies related to patient and employee safety.

Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs CT procedures as ordered achieving a high level of quality: Properly injecting IV contrast, the administration of oral contrast, protocol setup, patient positioning, image reconstruction, network image transfers, archiving of image data, appropriately billing for exams performed and ensures accuracy of patient demographic information.

Review imaging orders, patient history and communicate with ordering physicians and radiologists when needed to confirm proper imaging techniques.

Offers expertise to physicians regarding appropriateness of additional/modified studies.

Works as a team with Radiation Oncologists, Dosimetrists, Physicists and Radiation Therapists to ensure reproducible setups and quality imaging for patients receiving radiation therapy.

Completes all paperwork necessary to ensure timely delivery of CT services.

Provides protection for patient and self in accordance with prescribed safety standards.

Ensures the comfort of the patient while in technologists care.

Conducts daily quality control measures to monitor machine performance.

Reports all malfunctions and facilitates needed repairs.

Arranges preventive maintenance as recommended by vendor.

Follows established CT protocols, policies and procedures.

Participate in projects or meetings, and complete other tasks assigned by the Lead Tech or Radiation Director.

QUALIFICATIONS: Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited school.

Minimum three to five (3-5) years experience as a CT Technologist.

Certification as a registered radiologic technologist (ARRT) required.

Current CPR certifications required.

Certification in CT required.

PET-CT experience preferred.

CPR, RT(R)(CT), OR and WA X-Ray License Required.

GE, Aria, and Mosaiq experience strongly preferred.

Experience with placing IVs a must; strongly prefer port access experience.

Simulation experience strongly desired.
