Collaboration Engineer

Cerium Networks is a recognized innovator and leading provider of a full suite of unified communications and collaboration (UCC) contact center and customer experience management, network infrastructure and security solutions. We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter to provide front line primary technical support. You will be responsible for overall planning and design, as well as uptime and efficient operation of the Enterprise telecommunications infrastructure. You would work closely with engineering leadership while participating in strategic planning and implementation of a highly reliable multi-site and multi-state voice communications network leveraging technology to deliver features providing business value at an appropriate cost. Summary of Responsibilities Deployment of solutions using roadmaps and standard design definitions developed by clients Infrastructure reliability and routine system maintenance Subject matter expertise on current products deployed in the enterprise Policy and procedure that governs the management and maintenance of the deployed services Execution of work that cannot be operationalized with consistent, expected results Technology lifecycle adherence per client roadmaps Management of vendor work assignments and outside services in support of service delivery Serve as mentor to support teams and provide high level technical support training Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and client staff at all levels peers, IS management, Partners and team members at all levels Requirements Bachelorrsquos degree in Telecommunications, Engineering or related industry or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years of telecommunications related experience in a position with similar primary duties. Experience deploying, supporting, and troubleshooting voice over IP telephones, voice over IP trunks, voice over IP protocols and codec sets in an enterprise environment. Healthcare, hospital or medical industry experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in using platform specific Communication Manager applications (AvayaCiscoNortel, etc.), and IP telephony architecture to support emergency survivability and local survivable processors. Work experience must include demonstrated experience in an environment which includes multiple sites and large numbers of voice ports. Must be certified in either Avaya, Cisco or Nortel products including Administration, Call Center, Maintenance, VoiceMail Interface, and VoIP. Certification with third party applications such Call Recording, CMS, Right Fax, Intelligent Console highly desired.
