Descriptionn n Job ID: 50210n Data Analystn Our client has an immediate need for a Data Analyst for a duration of 6 to 12 months.

They are seeking contractor services for a Data Analyst on a project that will help lay the foundational components to improve Data Quality, Data Integrity and utilization of Data as an Asset.

This project is part of a broader strategic roadmap to modernize the Data foundations and Analytics capabilities by delivering on an upgrade program from SAP ECC to SAP S/4 Hana.n n The Projects Business Objectives Are As Followsn n Deliver against the identified pre-requisites necessary to ensure a successful upgrade to SAP S/4nEnable minimum viable data catalog infrastructure for the upgrade program.nMaximize amount of reusable work product from this initiative towards the full enterprise assessment.nThe Data Analyst will be accountable for understanding the business goals and understanding of thenbusiness use cases, championing the stakeholders’ objectives and overseeing the activities of a system integrator to ensure proper adherence to IT governance and SDLC policy during planning, development,nintegration, testing, and implementation activities during the upgrade from SAP ECC to SAP S/4.n n Scopen The Data Analyst represents the corporation to work with the System Integrator and business partners and to ensure the timely and quality delivery of the data pre-requisites necessary for the successful upgradenprogram to SAP S/4.nExamples of in-scope SW Assets include SAP ECC (EAM/SCM/FI), Advantica Essentials, CIS, ArcGIS, andnPayroll.

Familiarity with SAP ECC and the upcoming SAP S/4 would be highly desirable, especially in anpublic utilities environment, as well as one or more of the systems listed above in scope.n n Deliverablesn The Data Analyst will collaborate with stakeholders and System Integration partner to deliver:nData profiling of key master and reference data objects – identifying gaps and quality issues acrossnsoftware assets in scope.nDiscover, Catalog, Profile and assess key SAP ECC master data attributes to provide an actionable andnprioritized data quality/ data cleansing remediation plan.nDiscover, Catalog, Profile and assess prioritized key data objects for non-SAP software assets in scope.nAssess and document security requirements from data privacy, confidentiality and sensitivity aspectsnfor the SAP ecosystem.n n Governance & Operating Modeln Understand and support data standards and processes to support master data migration.nPrepare and/or update operating procedures and other documentation needed to support data migration activities.nAssistant to project manager in overall project delivery by focusing on scoping, effort andnresource estimating of technical tasks.nEstablishment of quality targets and operational metrics for technical deliverables in accordance withnInternal SDLC policy.nProblem-solving/decision-making as needed by the project.nUse appropriate internal practices, in accordance with SDLC policies and quality expectations.nFollow internal policies, standards, procedures, templates, and processes (i.e.

forms, accessnrequests, deliverables, etc.)nWork with and coordinate with internal resources, technical consultants, SMEs, System Integration (SI)npartners and specialists in support of technical planning, design, and implementation.nProper fit with internal relationship driven culture of customer focus, respect, accountability, andncontinues learning.n n Qualificationsn n The ideal candidate will have experience with SAP master data structures and experience with data.nmigration and transformation.

A successful candidate must be able to analyze and document each master.ndata element and determine its need and importance end to end.nBachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, information-technology, Data Analytics, Business.nIntelligence, System analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience.n5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analysis.nProject experience with large scale ERP implementations.nProficient in writing business requirements and functional design specs.nExperience with SQL, data cleansing and performing QA on data Experience with SAP master data structures and tables.nKnowledge of data gathering, cleansing and transforming techniques.nUnderstanding of data warehousing and ETL techniques.nGood understanding of strategic technology trends, and the practical application of existing and emerging technologies to new and evolving geospatial operating models.nExposure to multiple, diverse technologies, platforms and processing environments.nTime management skills.nAbility to elicit requirements, pain points, and goals of the business community through interviews,nfacilitated sessions and written correspondence.nBasic knowledge and proficiency to write Data Definition Language or Data Manipulation LanguagenSQL commands (nice to have, not required).nExperience working with business areas and other non-technical groups, translating requests into requirements.nHave the investigative mindset and/or techniques that can be used with any number of tools to explore the available data.nAbility to understand and translate the need of business units into effective data management solutions.nExperience in data validation and ability to analyze large datasets.nSome hands-on experience with basic reporting / visualization tools is greatly desired.nBackground in Gas Utilities industry preferred.nUnderstanding and knowledge of IT standards and controls, IT Service Management (ITSM, ITIL) Methods.nMature planning and organizational skills.nExcellent interpersonal skills, including collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation.n n Benefitsn n Benefits are available to eligible VanderHouwen contractors and include coverage for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long term disability, and matching 401k.n n About VanderHouwenn n VanderHouwen is an award-winning, Women-Owned, WBENC certified professional staffing firm.
