Medix is looking for Staff Accountant.

Schedule : Mon-Fri, 10am-6pm

Pay: $30-35/hr

Location: Hillsboro, OR

Duties:

• Assists in the overall management the year-end audit.
• Coordinates and facilitates the collection of all audit schedules, supporting documentation and creating and maintaining audit files.
• Maintains all general ledger accounts in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Produces accurate monthly financial statements as assigned.
• Responsible for the timely preparation of additional financial reports including Statements for Consolidation with statistical data, Statement of Cash Flows, and various PowerPoint presentations. Also, prepares both internal and external financial surveys.
• Provides coordination for the Accounts Payable and payroll Staff.
• Preparing and processing miscellaneous monthly journal entries.
• Reviewing, approving, and posting of journal entries.
• Researches variances on the financial statements, provides written explanations for those variances and suggests adjustments and/or solutions when necessary

Minimum Qualification:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of related accounting experience.
• Experience with federal and governmental agency healthcare surveys.
• Applies knowledge of GAAP and GAAS and internal financial control policies and procedures.
• Exhibits excellent leadership skills.
• Healthcare accounting experience preferred
• Experience with annual financial audits
