Territory Sales Representative

This is a Contract position in Lane County, OR posted August 19, 2021.

DEPARTMENT: Sales

REPORTS TO: Regional Sales Manager/Sales Director

SALARY: 40,000 – 50,000 annually (Depending on Experience) plus bonuses and promos

JOB OVERVIEW: This job involves calling on customers to take orders for products, presenting new items, checking for out-of-stocks in stores, and obtaining new business. We are looking for someone who is responsible, accountable and can make an impact. Our Sales Representatives do the educating and connecting with our customers. They build relationships and provide valuable insight mainly on tobacco categories as well as all company products we sell. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Call on existing customers, take orders, sell products, replace out of date product and assist the store manager with ordering product.

2. Presents new products to customers and shows profit potential.

3. Presents new programs to customers.

4. Make consistent face to face contact with customers consistently

5. Assist store owners/managers with developing profitable stores and merchandise.

6. Seeks new business either in existing stores or through cold calling potential customers.

7. Review accounts receivable on all customers

8. Attend monthly sales meetings.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
1. Building strong relationships with store managers/owners by providing expert tobacco/consumer insights and advice through the development of individual business plans.

2. Consistently demonstrate company values in all business interactions. It is expected that this Representative will become not only a passionate tobacco expert but a valuable business consultant whose analysis, judgment and knowledge of the consumer industry makes for a valuable partner to our retail customers.

3. High school or equivalent degree required.

4. Previous sales experience, preferable in grocery or related field.

5. Ability to calculate simple math.

6. Excellent communication skills.

7. Ability to use technology, software and programs to order and make sales calls.

8. Good driving record.

9. Ability to strive for results-driven actions

10. Able to read/write and complete required forms.
