Digital Product Creation (DPC) is a part of the Nike Consumer Creation Operations team. In DPC, we utilize the power of data and digital capabilities, technology, and talent to fuel a consumer led, digitally native product ecosystem. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a seasoned Portfolio Director within the Digital Product Creation team who will bring strong portfolio management leadership experience to actively lead the DPC portfolio and bring a strategic approach and focus. The right candidate will have a consistent track record of portfolio management working with business and technology partners and stakeholders, while demonstrating strong communication, leadership, cross-functional collaboration and problem solving skills.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

Working alongside business and technology leaders you will establish and implement best-in-class portfolio delivery practices, standards, tools, and processes, enabling delivery of solutions that optimize the business and maximize value for Nike! You will facilitate and drive the portfolio planning and governance cadence to ensure the portfolio is delivering value toward Nike, Consumer Creation and DPC vision and strategy.

This includes working with the DPC Leadership Team and our enterprise partners (i.e. Global Tech) to create financial models, build DPC value case and manage value measurements, and assist with the creation of longer term roadmaps for our teams. You will manage all inbound corporate reporting requests, and facilitate portfolio level intake, planning and prioritization. It will be important for you to establish relationships and positively influence all portfolio partners, maintain an integrated portfolio to drive alignment and collaboration, and communicate highly relevant portfolio status and health information in an effective manner. Your responsibilities will also include preparation and analysis of key portfolio data, trending, and reporting information to drive portfolio insights and decision making in the critical areas of scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and benefits realization.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

This role will report to the Senior Director of DPC Integrated Portfolio & Experience (IPE), and will directly manage the DPC Portfolio Manager. The role will engage and align with the Consumer Creation Operations Portfolio and Program Management teammates, and other portfolio and program management partners across the enterprise.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Master’s degree in related field preferred
  • At least 9 years of professional experience within Business, IT, or a related field
  • At least 6 years of portfolio and program management leadership roles. Project management certification highly desirable (PMP and/or PMP)
  • Critical thinking
  • Proven experience delivering large complex projects and programs
  • Proven experience with applying Agile methodologies
  • Proven experience managing an outcome-based (ideally OKR oriented) portfolio
  • Highly analytical with ability to establish processes that drive fact-based decision making
  • Demonstrated expertise of building consensus across business and technology leaders, and influencing successful outcomes
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed work environment
  • Proactive desire to own and drive programs forward through measurable process, planning, and team engagement
  • Comfortable with ambiguity
  • Advanced communication, team dynamics, conflict resolution, mentoring and leadership skills
  • In-depth understanding of portfolio and program budgets
