Mobile Dev Manager


This is a Contract position in Idanha, OR posted May 26, 2021.


Our client is a SaaS shop that is very culture focused, does 100% remote and offers a leading product in the sales and marketing automation space. They are looking for a Mobile Dev Manager to lead their React Native mobile team. They are looking for a proven leader who has climbed the ladder in the space, can act as a “player coach” and help with architecture, mentoring and code reviews. The Mobile Dev Manager will be responsible for building and delivering hybrid mobile apps to our customers, managing a team of 6 engineers (team should grow to 10 by end of 2021)

Some of the Day to Day

  • Provide leadership and guidance to coach and motivate the team to achieve optimum performance. Monitor and conduct performance management reviews of direct reports
  • Work collaboratively with senior management and cross-functional development teams to define, develop, and refine requirements and features of customer facing software products.
  • Contribute to and influence conversations regarding priority.
  • Ensure successful and on-time delivery of software that meets commitments from design through to release.
  • Develop project plans specifying goals, staffing and scheduling. Identify risks, contingency plans and allocation of resources.
  • Participation and enthusiasm in recruiting the best engineers for your team..


  • 8+ yrs of experience as developer (ideally have a past hands on mobile background)
  • 2+ yrs as a people manager over mobile teams (ideally React Native)
  • Experience working for SaaS companies
  • Deep technical understanding of hybrid & native mobile development frameworks
  • You are a hands on technical leader with experience managing engineers and delivering high quality mobile applications
  • Passion for all things mobile, from lower-level architecture to the product experience and UI
  • You have a track record of building and retaining diverse, high-performing teams that have a culture of quality and continuous improvements
  • Ability to manage communications with numerous stakeholders
